Method Labs Summer Camps combine outdoor adventure with hands-on science investigations. Students explore the forests, wildlife, and marine ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest through field observations, STEM activities, and real scientific inquiry.

Hands-on field science for curious young explorers ages 7–12.
Camp Details
Ages:
7–12 years old
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Optional extended care is available before and after camp for an additional fee.
Location:
Drop-off and pick-up will take place at the Boathouse at Point Defiance Park.
Throughout the week, campers will explore different areas of the park and participate in hands-on activities in a variety of natural settings.
Camp Size:
To ensure a safe, engaging experience, camp enrollment is limited to 50 campers per week.
Cost:
$275 per camper, per week

All campers must pre-register online.
Spots are limited and registration will close once camp reaches capacity.

THE SALISH SEA: Marine Explorers Camp
JUNE 29-JULY 3
Young scientists will dive into the fascinating world of ocean life and marine science in this hands-on exploration of our planet’s largest ecosystem. At Marine Explorers Camp, students will investigate sea creatures, learn how ocean systems work, and discover the important role oceans play in our environment. Through engaging experiments, outdoor investigations, and collaborative challenges, campers will build curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a deeper appreciation for the ocean world.

THE LIVING FOREST: Ecology Explorers Camp
JULY 6- JULY 10
In this hands-on ecology camp, campers will explore one of the most diverse natural environments in the Pacific Northwest- from towering forest plants to migrating salmon and the waters of Puget Sound. Through hands-on science investigations, field observations, and creative projects, campers will learn how ecosystems function and why protecting them matters. This program blends science, nature exploration, art, and environmental stewardship into an unforgettable outdoor learning experience.
